No System Works Alone

When it comes to how our bodies function, no body system works alone. Having said that, no body system gets injured alone and no body system heals alone. In order for healthy living, we need all systems functioning at their optimal levels.

We can compare the Lymphatic System (Immune System) to that of plants and plant growth. Your plants need an optimal environment to grow, thrive and produce vegetation and oxygen. If their environment isn’t optimal with the nutrients it needs the plant can develop different conditions, bugs can invade, and the plant can die. So what do we do with a plant to keep it healthy? We make sure the soil is the best quality, that we water appropriately, that we clean their leaves and prune when needed, add nitrogen sources, and talk sweet loving phrases to them.

We can do this with our bodies as well. The Lymphatic System is what cleans the “gunk” out of our body systems so that our body can flourish & thrive. It helps decrease pain and inflammation when functioning as it should. In Manual Lymphatic Drainage we clear the catchments of lymph nodes (like a drain in your sink), then move superficial fluid towards those nodes to help clear the “gunk”.

There are routines that you can do daily at home to help the fluid flow. These routines give you a rush of energy, and improve circulation through your body. I can teach you these routines, exercises, and breathwork in a workshop or after a treatment.
